Dog Beaches!
If you are anxious about bringing your pet along on the trip, fear not! The Garden House is perfectly situated to accommodate for the needs of any furry companion, with plenty of room outside to run and stay excited. You should also feel free to take the pups to the beach, with plenty of specialized dog beaches designed to give both of you a fun experience! Additionally, the forested hiking trails of Mt Ucka give you a great place to walk a dog at the same time that you are taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Croatian coast!
A Family Trip
The Garden House also provides the perfect place for a wholesome family trip. Being situated in the peaceful setting of Matulji gives the whole family a chance to relax, away from the noise of the city. The main street of Korzo is also great for the whole family, giving parents a great place to absorb the beautiful architecture of the Clock Tower and surrounding buildings, with ampule places to stop for juice and gelato. After a stroll here, the Astronomical Center gives the whole family a chance at adventure, looking through outer space and the diverse array of objects that make up the cosmos.

If you are looking for a trip as a couple, the privacy of The Garden House provides accommodation that is as beautiful as it is intimate. There is a plethora of wine tours in the area, allowing you to get a grassroots look at the culture of the area, and experience the renowned taste of the region. Additionally, the cultural institutions of the area, like the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, give an intellectual outlet during the trip, as well as an escape from the summer heat.
Matulji
Matulji is few kilometers away from the sea, on the altitude of 240 meters. This means that its climate is a tad milder than of towns directly by the sea. And it translates into much better rest during those hot summer nights. Also, nearest beaches are 10-minutes’ drive away, so you are never far from a refreshing dip in the Adriatic sea.Besides being ideal starting point for your Kvarner and Istra excursions, Matulji also offer few places where you can go grab a quick bite, have a few drinks or a dessert. You’ll find a gas station, a bakery, a bank (with ATM), a post office, a sport’s hall and a supermarket – all within 5 minutes’ walk from The Garden House. Also, there is a Tourist Info office at your disposal just across the street.
Opatija/Lovran
Opatija, the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, has been popular with travelers since the days of the Hapsburg Dynasty, when wealthy merchants built the beautiful Riviera.
